10 Awesome Things To Do At A Cabin With Your Family That Everyone Will Love

If you are spending some family time up in the mountains, there are some things to do at a cabin that can keep your entire family entertained!

We recently took a trip up the mountains and stayed in a cozy cabin with the family. At first, I was nervous thinking if there would be enough entertainment for everyone since the age groups were so different.

But then we ended up doing things that kept everyone happy!

I’ll share this list with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

1) Go Hiking To A Scenic View

Going hiking in the woods is such good exercise and family time! And most of the time you will reach beautiful scenic views whether that be mountains or a waterfall!

2) Have A Bonfire With S’mores And Songs

Everyone loves having a bonfire. Add s’mores, and some of your favorite songs, and you got yourself a good time!

3) WildFlower Picking

A lot of times you can find a field of flowers out in the middle of nowhere. Make this a family activity and create bouquets!

4) Go Fishing

Fishing is something that many enjoy! And if not everyone loves fishing, sitting by the lake with coffee or tea will be the best thing!

5) Family Games (indoors & outdoors)

A lot of cabins will provide you with board games and sometimes even things like ping pong tables! Outside games might also be provided!

6) Relax On Hammocks

Grab hammocks on your trip and you won’t regret it! There will be plenty of trees for this and you will enjoy lounging on them outside!

7) Watch The Sunrise And Sunset

Watching the sunrise and sunset is different out in the wilderness! In the mountains or on the lake there’s nothing like it!

8) Explore The Town

Take a trip to the nearest town and check out the stores and restaurants! Make a day trip out of it and enjoy the many things in town!

9) Shop At A Local Gift Shop

Most towns have a local gift shop. Get yourself and your family a few survivors or t-shirts to remember the trip by!

10) Relax In The Hot Tub

And one of my favorite activities is relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of exploring! A perfect end to a perfect day!
