1: Purchase Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Semi-sweet chocolate chips are easy to work with and have a rich chocolate taste. But if you are feeling a different type of chocolate such as Hersey chocolate feel free to use that as well!

2: Melt Chocolate Chips

Next melt the chocolate. You can do this on the stovetop or in the microwave. I did mine in the microwave and it worked just fine. The only thing was if I added milk to it it would harden instead of having a smooth melting process so avoid that.

3: Froth Milk (or heat up)

Frothing milk is optional but it does make for the fluffiest tastiest hot chocolate! This might be the key to getting that thick, rich flavor of this yummy drink!

4: Fill Your Favorite Mug With Milk & Mix In The Chocolate

After your chocolate and milk are ready, pour the milk into your favorite mug and then place the melted chocolate on top. Stir well until blended to your desired look and taste.

5: Add Whip Cream And Toppings And Enjoy

You can enjoy this drink as is but if you are feeling festive, add whip cream and toppings of your choice! Some fan favorites are; marshmallows, candy cane, sprinkles, and chocolate or caramel drizzle. Enjoy and share with your friends! They will love you for it!
