The Best Tips On How To Become A Morning Person
STEP 1. HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY MORNING
Your morning needs to have something that you want to get up for. Maybe a hot cup of coffee on your porch. Or perhaps some quiet alone time while the rest of the house sleeps.
Whatever you choose, make sure you have something to look forward to, urging you to get out of bed.
STEP 2. HAVE A MORNING ROUTINE
Sit down and write out a routine for you to go through when you wake up. For example: wake up, have a coffee, work out, etc. Staying organizing and having set things to do that you enjoy is very important!
When setting your morning routine, focus on having a relaxing morning. Don’t add things to do that will stress you out instead of letting you enjoy your morning time.
STEP 3. STOP THINKING THAT WAKING UP EARLY IS A BAD THING
Having the correct mindset in all you want to accomplish is such an important thing. Make sure the negative thoughts you have about mornings don’t take up space in your mind.
We tend to dread mornings so much, and we build up a bad image of waking up early. Think of how much time you just added to your day! Now tackling your tasks won’t be so bad!
STEP 4. GO TO SLEEP EARLIER
Yes. We know this one is quite obvious, but it’s actually the most difficult. When you are used to going to sleep late, shutting off won’t come easy. Try to give yourself some time to unwind from the day.
Set a time where you have to be in bed by – without your phone! (this step might not apply to mamas or mamas-to-be because, lets be honest- it’s a whole other job to put the kiddos to bed!)
STEP 5. DON’T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF
Have the alarm set, but in the beginning, don’t be too hard on yourself. Your body has to adapt to waking up early slowly. Day by day, work on getting up earlier than before until you reach that perfect time.
Before you know it, you won’t need an alarm, and you will love the feeling of all that morning freedom!
With these steps, you can enjoy your mornings. Waking up early won’t seem like such a bad thing. And dare we say? Might you start loving early mornings?
