Out of all the home decor stores, Tj’s has always been a personal favorite for us. There are so many decorating items to choose from for your entire home. AND the prices are amazing!
They have great seasonal items that update depending on the holiday, which is a plus. Tj Maxx items often change, so if you see something you love-get it right away!
SECOND STOP: MARSHALLS/HOMEGOODS
Two stores in one? (yes!) (some states have them as separate stores and some combine) This store is a sister store to Tj Maxx. And that makes it so helpful!
If you can’t find the item you saw last week, then there is a high chance you’ll find it at Marshalls/HomeGoods. If you have these stores separate, here are some things you will love!
Despite the stores being very similar, one of the things you will always find at Marshall’s is their selection of big area rugs! (Tj Maxx carries them once in a while)
From cozy rugs for your bedroom to more elegant, classy for your living room, you will have amazing rugs to choose from.
While Marshalls and Tj Maxx split between home decor and other items, HomeGoods emphasizes their entire store on home decor and home necessities.
In both stores prices are affordable and you can find amazing deals!
THIRD STOP: HOME SENSE
This store sadly isn’t across the entire United States. (Connecticut (2), Delaware (1), Maryland (4), Massachusetts (5), New Hampshire (3), New Jersey (9), New York (7), Ohio (1), Pennsylvania (4), and Virginia (3) are the few lucky ones)
It’s HomeGoods but much more space and much more options! If you live near it, we highly recommend taking a visit!

FOURTH STOP: TARGET
Okay, this one is a world favorite. You can count on Target to have all the things you need for your home.
They have brands you will only find at Target! Our two most favorite, Hearth & Hand and Threshold!
You can never go wrong with these brands. They each carry their own specific style that will transform your home!
Target prices vary but overall are pretty affordable.
FIFTH STOP: HOBBY LOBBY
Yes. Hobby Lobby has all the best wall decor. (and more!) They have sections for nursery wall decor, living room, kitchen, etc. (You get the idea!)
We love that Hobby Lobby has Bible verses and encouraging quotes to go on your wall! This way when, you walk down your hall into your bedroom, not only is it decorated, but you have words of encouragement right there every night before bed.
A plus side to this store is the fact that they have sales often. Based on the season and section they’re doing, you can find great deals for your home!
SIXTH STOP: POTTERY BARN
Pottery Barn has the best things from your bedroom to your backyard. From the nursery crib to your bed you will find the beddings you have been searching for.
On top of general home decor, Pottery Barn splits up and has its very own focus on your kids and teens. (Pottery Barn Kids & Pottery Barn Teen)
We guarantee you will find many cozy pieces here. It may be on the pricer side, but the quality is well worth it.
SEVENTH STOP: WORLD MARKET
World Market is another favorite to so many people. The aesthetic in this store is out of this world. Everything that’s trending you will find here. From speckled kitchen bowls to living room coffee tables they have your back!
Your home will be transformed like never before with the aesthetic pieces from World Market.
EIGHTH STOP: AT HOME
Despite the name being very similar to HomeSense and HomeGoods, this store is it’s very own.
It is very spacious and reminds us of a mix of Hobby Lobby and Walmart. It organizes the items to different home styles (similar to hobby lobby) to make it easier for you to choose the decor for your home!

NINTH STOP: HOME DEPOT
We recommend this store for the plants. Home Depot does carry other decor pieces but if you’re looking to buy house plants, this is your place.
Home Depot always has the biggest variety for plants. From tiny table plants to 6ft trees, you will find just about anything!
Take a visit to your local Home Depot store and pick up a few beautiful plants to brighten up your home with.
Prices vary depending on the plant size but are great overall!
