So I put together an easy checklist for you to follow!

1) First Day Essentials
Save
Print- Toothbrushes
- Trash Can/ Trash Bags
- Shower Curtain
- Shower Curtain Hooks
When it’s moving day, you have to have these items at least by arm’s reach. You will need a trash bin because trash gathers up fast and you’ll need somewhere to put it before everything is unpacked.
If it is nighttime, you don’t want to be digging in boxes for your toothbrush and you must have a shower curtain if you want a relaxing shower after a long day.
2) Kitchen Essentials
- Dinnerware
- Silverware
- Knives
- Utensils
- Glasses & Mugs
- Pots & Pans
- Can Opener
- Cutting Boards
- Dish Soap
- Sponge
- Dish Towels
You can’t forget these basic kitchen items! You don’t have to go all out and buy everything at once, but having a couple of plates, spoons & forks, and a pan will get you started!
3) Living Room Essentials
The living room is one of the spaces that need the least amount of things. (especially in the beginning!) Even just having a couch, for the time being, is perfectly okay!
4) Bedroom Essentials
Tip: To make furnishing up your bedroom easier I would suggest starting with the bed and everything that needs. Doing so will get the purchasing the biggest thing for your bedroom out of the way.
5) Bathroom Essentials
The bathroom doesn’t need many things. This makes it easier to shop for.
6) Laundry Essentials
- Laundry Hamper
- Laundry Detergent
- Dryer Sheets
- Trash Bags
The laundry is something that might get overlooked when you shop for your first apartment. Don’t forget to add it to your shopping list!
7) Cleaning Essentials
Cleaning supplies might not be the most “fun” to shop for, but they’re a must. From trash bags to the vacuum, you’ll need it all!
