How To Trust God In Difficult Times
Benefits Of Trusting God
- A Peace Of Mind
- Worry Goes Away
- Prayers Get Answered
- Relationship With God Grows
- Happiness Joins
- Fear Goes Away
- Doubt Goes Away
- Faith Grows
1) How To Trust God Completely
- Say Your Prayers Every Morning & Night
- Have Time For A Devotional & Bible Study
- Work On Your Thoughts To Remove All Doubt
The 3 points we provided above are crucial when trying to build trust in your relationship with God.
Focus on having alone time every day for prayer and studying the Word of God. Doing this will help you become nearer to Him-resulting in you learning how to trust God.
2) God Has A Plan For Your Life
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This verse should constantly be on your mind. You have to believe that trusting in God never results in anything bad!
The Lord has plans for your life and it’s definitely not for evil!
Another very important point to remember is that you might not understand why God does things a certain way. And don’t try to!! Isaiah 55:8 (ESV) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
Accept the fact that His plans are different than your plans! (and it’s definitely better that way!)
3) God Knows What You Need
Matthew 6:8 (ESV)
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
How amazing is it to know that Father in heaven knows exactly what you need even before you ask!
Remember this when you wondering how to ask or how to word your prayer.
4) God’s Timing Is Perfect
Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
When learning how to trust God, remember that just like His ways are different than yours, so is His timing. God is never early, never late, but ALWAYS on time!
More Things To Remember When Learning How To Trust God In Difficult Times
HE IS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
Just that statement alone lets us know that He wouldn’t leave us in a situation by ourselves. He is there for his children even when we can’t see him or seem to feel him.
Just imagine that at this very moment, he is looking down at you and knows exactly what you’re going through. He’s already working.
HIS TIMING IS DIFFERENT
This is such a big thing. Often when we ask for something, we expect it right here right now. In our eyes, the timing is perfect!
The only thing that is missing is the very thing we’re praying for. But that’s not the case at all. You see, we can only see so much.
We can only predict so little. But our God can see into the future, and he knows exactly when you need your answered prayer.
OUR PLANS ARE NOT HIS PLANS
This is so hard to accept sometimes. As human beings, we need a plan. A layout of our life for the next few years.
We plan when we will start a business, a family. If or when we will purchase that car or house.
But in God’s eyes, everything is different. Often, things don’t according to plan- well, they don’t go according to our plan.
Everything is going according to HIS divine plan for us. You can be in peace knowing it is all working out after all.
HE IS FAITHFUL
“The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he..” Deuteronomy 32:4.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. What he has promised you, he will fulfill. He has not left you alone, and he will see you through.
TRUST BUILDS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
A relationship without trust isn’t much of a relationship. So how do we learn to trust?
Is it when everything in our life goes the way we want and plan for? No. The only way to learn how to trust is when we are put in situations that leave us giving up our way and surrounding to His way.
When we decide to put our trust in God, we get closer to Him.
That’s when we realize that one of the most important reasons to trust God is because our relationship with Him starts to build into something more beautiful than we have ever imagined.
We pray these words have reached your heart and put peace into your mind! We understand how difficult life can get, but we hope and pray you are able to trust God a little more now!
Let go and let God! Life will be filled with much much less worry!
