Learning how to clean and organize the fridge in your home isn’t at all difficult and these steps will help you achieve just that.
There are times when my fridge stays cleaner for longer and other times it doesn’t. I believe that a few things play a role in cleaning and keeping a refrigerator clean.
Just like keeping a room tidy, you have to do this every so often to maintain your fridge.
I put together the steps to make it easy for you every time!
This post is all about how to clean and organize fridge!
How To Clean And Organize Fridge
1) Empty Fridge Out
Just like you would do to any space you are organizing and cleaning, first and foremost, empty your fridge.
Doing this will help you start with a new slate and help you toss out anything that’s expired and no longer used.
2) Wipe Down / Wash
Your next step is to use a cleaner of your choice and a rag to wipe down everything.
If the drawers or shelves are dirtier, take them out and wash them properly.
3) Categorize
Categorizing is so important and will help you keep your fridge organized for longer periods. By categorizing I mean try keeping the dairy products together, the fruits and vegetables together, and so forth.
That way when you open up the refrigerator you can see where everything is and goes. This way even your grocery shopping will become easier as you will be able to see quickly which category is running low.
4) Use Fridge Organizing Containers
Using fridge organizing containers will not only make your fridge look pretty, but it will act as a space saver too! Food items come in all kinds of different packaging which makes it difficult to stack up upon each other.
Using containers will help you fit almost everything like a puzzle.
5) Create Designated Spots
After categorizing your items, create designated spots in the fridge specifically for each category. For example; always keep the dairy on one specific side. (I keep my one on the left, section shelf)
This makes it so easy to put items back and refill them. And on the plus side, it’s so eye-pleasing to open the fridge and see it perfectly sectioned out!
6) Put Items Back In Designated Spots
Lastly, put all of your items back into the fridge but this time into their designated spots. If Everything has a place, it will be easy to always put it in the same spot.
It will prevent your items from piling up and things getting stuck on the way back of the shelves. Now, of course, your fridge can still get messy and unorganized but with this method, it will last you much longer.
Repeat this process every so often as you see fit!

I hope that by following these easy steps, you will see a clean and organized refrigerator every time you open it up!
