Feeling stressed and overwhelmed are all feelings most of us have had at some point. And there isn’t much someone can say to make those feelings go away. But there are a few (best) ways to reduce the stress that’ll help you take your focus off that stress.
Whether it’s chores, kids, or work, stress tends to catch up with us at the worst possible times. Little by little things pile up and before we know it our head feels like it just might explode at any moment!
No matter how hard we try sometimes we can’t help but focus on our problem and worry. (If you know me personally you know I’m a big worrier)
So I came up with a list of things that have helped me in hopes of helping someone reading this!
This post is all about the best ways to reduce stress!

*This is NOT professional advice! These are just tips that have helped me!*
1) Try To Think More Logically About A Situation Instead Of What-If
Often times we go down a deep rabbit hole of what-ifs. Our mind starts spinning and we have no idea how to stop it.
When that happens, take a step back and let yourself rethink the situation with a more logical approach.
You might notice that there isn’t really a point in overworking yourself about what could happen.
2) Have A Person You Can Confide In
Sometimes when we are stuck with a difficult affair, opening up to a person we trust will help us relax a bit and have that extra support on our side!
3) Keep The Problem In Prayer
Of course, this one is one of the most important ones! I heard a quote a while back saying; “pray about it as much as you worry about it” and wow how true is that!
Worrying and stressing will only make things worse for you, but praying and giving it up to God will put peace in your heart and help resolve what is causing the stress.
4) Think Back To Bible Verses
Matthew 6:34: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
These are just a couple of the many that God left for us. He knows how stressed and anxious we can get and he made sure to remind us that He is in the thick of it all and will not leave us to handle it by ourselves!
5) Do Something You Usually Don’t Do To Take Your Mind Off The Stressful Situation (coffee date, beach trip, camping, etc)
Last but definitely not least, do a few things to take up your mind off of what you are stressing about.
Whether it’s grabbing a coffee with a close friend or taking a day trip to the beach you’ll notice that you actually can take your mind off things and let go of the stress.

I only hope that I was able to help you in some kind of way!
