If you have ever wondered how to organize a bathroom sink cabinet, then you’ve come to the right place! I have tried to make your organization as simple as possible and came up with a step-by-step guide for you to follow!
It is easy to let your bathroom sink cabinet get messy and cluttered.
You might have started out organized, but as time goes by, you throw your items in without even looking at what’s going on inside. (most of us are guilty of this!)
Maybe like me, you have decided enough is enough! Let’s organize this once and for all! Wanting to organize is one thing, but feeling motivated actually to proceed is a different story!
That is why I’m providing you with an organizing motivational video! (it always motivates me to clean after watching someone else do it!) Let’s get organizing!
This post is all about how to organize a bathroom sink cabinet in just six steps!
How To Organize Bathroom Sink Cabinet
1) Empty Out The Cabinet
Just like when organizing anything in your home, the first step will always be to take all of your things out. All of your products and first aid items need to come out. If you have any organizers in, I would suggest taking those out as well. (this includes baskets and plastic containers)
2) Wipe Down Cabinet And Containers
When you don’t clean a space often, dust tends to settle on everything. Grab a wet rag and wipe down the cabinet shelf and all of your containers, basket, and organizers. Wiping down everything will freshen up the cabinet and everything holding your items.
3) Throw Out All Unnecessary Or Empty Items
After emptying out your cabinet and wiping down everything, your next step is to look through everything. Toss out all the empty boxes and items you no longer use. (maybe you have updated your skincare routine and don’t use a particular product) Decluttering all of your items will make organizing (and keeping it organized so much easier for you!
4) Sort Out All Items You Use
Now you should only have items/products you use—time to sort them out by sections. For example, set all of your skincare products together, the same for first aid items, and so forth. Sorting out everything will come in handy when you have to organize them back to the cabinet. (It’ll also be beneficial for everything to have its very own spot)
5) Use Baskets And Containers
If you don’t have any baskets or containers that you use, see what you can find around your home that you can use for organizing. If you are willing to spend a few extra bucks, I suggest you hit Tj Maxx, HomeGoods, or The Container Store for some organizing items! Having baskets or containers will be life-changing and will help to keep your cabinet organized long after this organizing session.
6) Label If Needed
If you have a lot of items you use and different organization containers, you might find it easier to label everything. This way, anyone in your household will be able to find all of your items with no problem! (It will also help them put things back into their spot!)
7) Remember Everything Has A Spot
This step is last and very important if you want to continue to have an organized bathroom cabinet space! Next time you are using a product that needs to be put back, don’t just toss it in with not even a glance! Take the extra two seconds to put it back to the exact spot it belongs! It will prevent things from cluttering up again!
Remember to take it one step at a time! Taking it one step at a time will help you stay motivated and on track.
After following this step-by-step guide, your bathroom cabinet should be thoroughly cleaned out and organized.
Depending on your cabinet size, this should take you around 30 minutes to 1 hour. I hope this guide was able to help you organize your bathroom cabinet!
